I have a little orange and black Sword Tail who lives in an aquarium with a Silver Dollar fish. I was doing a water change and I saw that the sword tail is actually missing the sword part of his tail. So he is basically just left with a ripped tail as of right now. But not only that. He also has some sort of growth on either side of his body, where his tail meets his body. Its on both sides of him and it's pretty big. It makes him swim all wiggly. This part of his body is black and the growth is also black. He's still swimming around and eating but he's not swimming as fast as he did before. I've done all the chemical testing and cleaned the (proper sized) tank and everything. So if anyone can help me and my Bo out here I'd really appreciate it.:)
Silver dollars can be quite aggressive to smaller fish so i wouldnt be surprised if it had a snack. the lumps (because i havnt seen it) could be an infection from the wound - especially if it is all furry i would recommend a product such as melafix which is a multipurpose fish medicine that helps fight bacteria, is impossible to over dose and doesnt harm other fish. I use it all the time in my multiple tanks. Ive tried to post a link to a website with a description

Good luck with your fishy
just monitor your aquarium. Your Silver dollar fish might be little aggressive and can eat the tail of sword fish. Growth might be the skin pill off, also the result of fight.
if so u will have to keep both seperately
just separate him and see what is happening
