I want to get into breeding bettas just for fun, i'm willing to go the extra mile. What do i feed the fry? A beautiful strain that isn't too fragile? How to house the fry, when to seperate the males? I may also give free bettas if i get an excess. c: All you'd have to pay is shipping and if you live in northwest florida you could just pick yours up.
for the first week, the fry need to be fed insuforia (microscopic organisms) which you can culture by leaving a jar of warm water in a sunny place with a little hay or chicken bullion cube in it. when teh water gets cloudy it is ready. seperate the males when they start to notice each other, usually around 3 months. all males need to be housed in seperate jars (at least a gallon) which need to be cleaned every otehr day. crowntails are easily availible and beautiful
