what smallish fish do you suggest to a 8 gallon biorb fish t

As I told you before, i want a biorb fish tank. But what fish to put in i have no idea. I want a fish that has a somewhat long lifespan and only two to three fish. I appreciate the help. THX!
Get three neon tetras. People are going to tell me they need to be in groups of 5 or more. Nah they will do fine in three. Stick with odd numbers.
in thank tank (assuming it's heated and you'll do weekly water changes) a betta could live 5-7years. pretty long for a small fish. add a few shrimp to make it interesting. a paradise fish would work too.

fish like tetras and danios (including GLOfish) need to be kept in groups of 5 or more, so they 2-3 won't work. plus they are super active and need at LEAST 10gallons.

white clouds are schooling fish, so 4-5 would still be best, but they would work in your tank.

basically there is no fish for such a small tank that would exactly meet your qualifications.
> Female Betta's can't be kept at couples or in a group of 3. 2 can't form a pecking order, and with 3 two will gain up on one ... 4 or more in 10 gallons. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

> Good options are a Dwarf Puffer like that chick said OR 1 Dwarf Gourami OR 1 male or female Betta, 2 African Dwarf frogs. I once had 3 fancy male guppies (they only grow 1 ") in a 8 gallon.

> Bad Choices that others mentioned was Ok is glofish and Danios, which need 5-6 + in 15 gallons. Everything else is bad but the very few choices I mentioned ...
For a 8 gallon tank I would suggest:

Single Betta

Single Betta with shrimp

Single Betta with ADF (Aquatic dwarf frogs)

Single Dwarf Puffer - http://dwarfpuffers.com/ (I have one of these)

To any of these combination you could add live plants and some larger snails which would be very nice. I wouldn't suggest any schooling fish, like neon tetra's or danio's as there swimming patterns require more room.

** Edit **

Goldfish depending on the type need about a 20 gallon to 150 gallon tank minimum so I wouldn't suggest this.
* Sniff sniff * I smell a thumba-sauress in here.

Anyway, whatever you do don't grab 2 female bettas. They'll pick on each other to no end. If you want female bettas you're gonna need at least 3. Better 4 or more. Other wise they sit there and beat up on each other.
1-2 FEMALE bettas

1 MALE betta

4-6 tetras (stick with either glowlight, neon or black tetras)

4-5 Minnows

4-5 SMALL danios (gold, blue or zebra silver)

you can also have some

- Shrimp

- 1-2 smails
3 glo-fish will do fine in an 8 gallon witch are actually Danios and they do have a long life span.
A Betta and 2 ghost shrimp
great white sharks
a few guppies/platies or

a small school of tetras or

a betta or

2 female bettas or

a couple african dwarf frogs

you could maybe do one small goldfish but i wouldn't reccomend it. go with the tropicals
