What fish can live with fancy goldfish other than other goldfish. I have a 80 gallon with a clown pleco and a fancy goldfish for 3 years. The temp is around 80.please give me suggestions on what fish can I add to my tank other than goldfish
maybe some rosy minnows, fathead minnows, or white cloud minnows
(Make sure they are not small enough for your currant fish to swallow, or they might just get eaten!)
I would say your tank is too warm for those fancy goldfish, but if they are doing good after three years nevermind. I think petco has a chart you can use for compatability. I put some spotted cory catfish in my 36 gallon with 2 orandas to help eat leftover food. River stones sure looks pretty but my goldfish cant get between them to reach the food that falls through .
Most sorts of tetras are good natured and friendly so those are good with just about any fish. You can usually ask the fish store attendant if the fish you are buying will suit the ones you already have-they should be fairly good at identifying these sorts of things.
Here is a compatibility pdf from petco.com. They had a big one at the store that helped me choose fish tank mates for my female betta.
