My beloved catfish is not looking good at all. His fins are all ragedy, most of his barbels have deteriorated to about half their normal length, his belly is very distended (definitely not from overeating), and overall just sad looking. Water parameters are good, pH is a little high but that shouldn't be doing anything like this. He's been living off boiled zucchini, frozen shrimp and blood worms. He's a little older than 15. Any ideas what the problem might be?
Put some all-around anti-bacteria medicine, like MelaFix, maybe something more high end. 15 is pretty old! Fins deteriorating is probably bacteria infection. Anti-bacterial feed might be really good too. I hope i was of help.
