I have had a clown pleco and a fancy goldfish in a 80g tank for 3 years and i want to get a new fish. The tank has a heater and the temp maintains arouund 80 degrees. What fish can I add besides goldfish? I was thinkin 10 kuhli loaches? any other suggestions?
First, neither your Goldfish or your Pleco are benefiting from 80 degree temps. Both are best kept in the 70-75 range.
In general, I do not condone keeping other fish with Goldfish. Definitely not Loaches. They're just too sensitive to water quality to be kept with Goldfish.
I suggest, if you want more fish, that you add more Fancy Goldfish only. They really are the only safe option.
Be sure your filtration is terrific if keeping multiple Goldfish. A filter rated for at least 2x the aquarium's volume is suggested.
