I have a 10 gallon with two Julie Corydoras, and they seem to be showing all the symptoms of Velvet: (. Their dorsal fin is down on their back most of the time, one of them is breathing really intensely, they rub themself in the sand once in a while and it looks like theirs a discoloration around their gills. today is the fifth day I have been including medicine to treat the disease, and it only looks worse. Please help someone: (
Copper sulphate can be used at a concentration of 0.2 mg per litre or 0.2 ppm.
This should be repeated after 3 days to ensure eradication
The 'velvet' is actually fungus growing on their scales. Its extremely lethal and can kill them very soon. Contact a pet store or a vet for medicines to use. I'm not sure, maybe Fungus Disease Remover or something like that.
