Would my 2 inch long pleco kill my sister's otto (Otocinclus) fish if I added it to the tank?
It's a 40 gallon and I'm adding some platty fish, and my sister wants to put her otto in too.
answer: no, your pleco is very peaceful and hardly attacks anything. however, your otto needs a couple more ottos to feel safe and secure. maybe like 4 or 5 more.
plecos are not normally aggressive fish, so you should be fine. the smallest fish i have in with my pleco is a yoyo loach thats about 2cm. my pleco has never gone for it and he is 9". i used to have kuhli loaches in with him, and im not joking if they got spooked he would lift a fin up and they would hide under it,
Exactly, Plecos are very peaceful and hardly ever (if ever) aggressive with any fish. It's safe to add it to the tank :)
