Something is wrong with my Betta's side?
I just noticed my female Betta's side is... messed up. I was looking down OVER her (in the aquarium) and saw one side of her belly was normal and round and the other side is a odd shape, kinda at a point like this > , but not so sharp of a corner. The gills in that area are also raised.
She is in a 29 tall aquarium with other PEACEFUL fish that didn't do it. I'm wondering if she got stuck in a ornament and had to fight to get free. What else could it be? She is a rare purple and pink Betta and I love her dearly. I added a small dose of Stress Zyme. Will that help at all?
It kinda looks like a pimple or a obstruction inside. Is there a chance she will heal? What else should I look for in the next few days to determine if she is getting worse. She is eating fine and swimming like usual. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
Thanks in advance for all replies.
Might be a parasite. Just look in the pet store for some parasite stuff.
Add some aquarium salt, one teaspoon per 5 gallon, up the temperature to 84-85 degrees, keep the water quality perfect, this should help her heal.

try adding aquarium salt (1 tablespoon per 5 gallons) to prevent any infection and strengthen the immune system. a 25% water change and temperature of 80 degrees will also help.
