Oscar fish? Some help please?
I have a oscar fish that I have had for idk around 2-3 months. It is in my community tank which I know will not work as it gets bigger. I have a 65 gallon tank. I'm just wondering if they usually show aggression when they are younger/smaller? I would say its about 4 inches right now and shows ABSOLUTELY NO signs of aggression whatsoever. I have it in there with gouramis tiger barbs strawberry peacocks... rather non aggressive fish and it has shown no interest in them at all. They all swim together and everything. Along with my electric blue jack dempsey who is just a baby.
I have a 100 gallon take with african cichlids a jack dempsey and a red tailed shark a pleco and a red fined silver barb. None of which belong together. My african fish are supposed to be extremely aggressive and have showed very little aggression. Even when I add new fish. Usually the aggression is at a low state when there are no breeding pairs and as long as everyone has their own little "room" in the tank. If he hasn't shown aggression already you should be safe.
if they don't show aggression u should be happy u r other fish will be safe and if u want aggressive fish than buy FLOWER HORN fish ......... according to me there is no other fish aggressive than flowerhorn.....
