They will live but it would be kinda weird

im afraid there are better options but dont keep them in there for more than 1 hour. The high amount of chlorine will probably kill them so remove them and put them in a big bowl or a cup.

I say put them in a big bowl :) . I don't think a toilet would be good.

Find a bucket, fill it with the right temperature water and dechlorinate it. Much better. The water is the toilet has high chlorine levels and could kill your fish. Plus, there is always the risk of someone needing to go...

Get a bucket. If you put them in the toilet tank, it's hard to get them back out with all the equipment there. If you were talking about where the waste goes, I don't they you'd even WANT to get them back out. Use a basin or bathtub. I might use a vase. Or a cooking pot. Just dechlorinate the water. Or use bottled water or whatever ready-to-drink water which you might have.
