If i put my bubble eye goldfish in a 5 gallon tank, will it die?
Yes. Maybe not at first but eventually the ammonia in the tank will get too high from the waste or your fish will be stunted and its organs will burst because they have no room.
As long as the water quality is good you shouldn't have any problems. Just keep an eye on your fish for any signs of distress. Monitor the water regularly and do partial water changes and it shouldn't be too much of a drama.
No hes fine
Before i answer anything here are some facts on gold fish.
When you purchase a fish it will grow into an adult. Adult Bubble eye goldfish grow up to 6-10 Inches. Most 5 gallon tanks are around that size.
For a fish of that size you need about 20 gallons of water for it to properly survive. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
Also . Because of the high levels of polutants that are produced by goldfish. You should acutally have around 1.5 times the needed water just to keep Ammonia levels down.
ANYWAY... lol
I very recently answered a question like this and here is that post . i hope it helps.
The question was. For 1 Bubble eye goldfish, How large should the Tank be. Here is my answer to that.
For only one bubble eye goldfish i would recommend that you have a Minimum of a 20 Gallon tank with Good Filtration. Goldfish Produce Lots of ammonia which is a leading cause of death in fish.
However. If you plan on adding more fish into this tank Perhaps use a 35 gallon tank. this would provide Plenty of room for the gold fish and give it ample room to grow and be active.
I hope this helps.

And yes. it would die eventually.
Yes, a goldfish will die in that small of a tank. 5 gallons is too small for a goldfish that can grow 6-8+ inches long. You will stunt the fishes growth and greatly shorten its life. Goldfish are extremely messy and need large tank to grow as well as dilute the waste and ammonia. The only fish that that tank could have would be a betta.
