I've been researching quite abit about Dwarf Gouramis as Ive wanted one for my new ten gallon, though I've come across a few sites that say not to buy them, and they die within months due to DGD (Dwarf Gourami Disease) due to poor farming conditions in South Asia. I'm just wondering about other peoples experiences with them. Any heads up would be brill. Thanx

They can be really good fish. The thing you need to watch out for is what fish you are going to keep them with. Gourami's are territorial. Especially the dwarf gourami's. Just get one, and see how it goes. But as long as you have a healthy tank, I think it will be fine.

There cool fish, get one. One male per tank as they will fight for dominance, unless you have a huge tank where both males can establish it's territories.....
