Can a white spot be something other than Ich?
Hello,
I have a goldfish that has a small white on the bottom part of its reach fin (before the tail). I assumed it was ich, but there has not been any spreading. I started treatment as soon as I noticed the spot, around four days ago. Could it be something else?
If the spot is larger than say an * on a computer screen then it is most likely a fungus. It will get larger rather than multiples appear. There is medicine for it.
Could also be velvet. Look at some pictures and see if you can tell.
