I put water in the tank and got the temperature right put the filter in and let it run for 7 hours and went to Pet Smart bought three X ray tetras, a black kuhii loach and a ghost shrimp. I only have a piece of drift wood and two plants in the tank. Its an 10 gallon And the Tetras just stay on the bottom near the filter swimming in one place not eating or anything. (I just put them in)
Give them time, they just got into a new environment, they will not eat or do anything for a while. But you should have let the tank run longer before placing fish im, and did you cycle the tank?
You should have cycled the aquarium first for 3-4 weeks , test waters, than RESEARCH fish to go in 10 gallons. Most Tetra's need established waters and will go into shock with new water. You are so ignorant I doubt you even conditioned the water before adding fish.
http://animal-world.com/encyclo/fresh/ch ... pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com X Ray Tetra's also need 6 + in a group in 15-20 gallons. You really should of looked that up before hand. A group of 3 will not be confident and will stress. The Loach also does better with buddies but also require sand or a fine gravel with no sharp edges.
You should take the Tetra's back as 6 can not comfortable fit in 10 gallons and add 2 more Loaches and a different fish species like 4-5 guppies ...
fish get stressed to the new water conditions when you 1st get them, but 3 is not enough for a schooling fish you need more of them, and they will swim around the tank.
Give if u see them Laying on the ground that is bad, or breathing to fast, or running into decor thats bad, But ur new fish are just scurd and lonely.
