Red cherry shrimp with eggs and is in a tank with betta fish

I have a red cherry shrimp with eggs, what now? Shes with a betta. I don't have a sponge filter. My other tank i used to raise ghost shrimp fry is in use (holding ghost shrimp lol ...)

So what do I need to know about the RCS and their eggs?

Shes in a 5 gallon aquarium with a crown tail betta fish
if you can get an old pair of your mom's pantyhose, cut a circle, rinse very well in dechlorinated water and attach over the bottom of the intake with a zip tie. .. that will not harm the filter but it will stop the babies from being sucked up ... if you have a smaller tank you could move the preggers one until the babies are born and the babies would not get eaten then ... the betta just might eat the shrimplets ... it is hard to say when she will give birth, but she will give birth to live, very miniature shrimps that will be clear ... as they get older, the females gets red and the males can stay clear ... they will breed a lot: O) so letting the betta eat a few would not be bad ...
get a big bucket of water and put the shrimp and their eggs in there until you can get another tank for them. you could keep them in the same tank because the shrimp stay at the bottom and the bettas can swim around.
