I recently got him from a WalMart, he was housed with about 40 GloFish. His right gill has a chunk out and is curled up slightly. He is otherwise great, no gasping, active, eats great - color, everything. Is this a war wound from a GloFish or a bigger problem, also - does he have tail rot???

The type of betta he is is supposed to have the slightly jagged edged fins. I believe he's a betta splendid (i think that's what this type is called) I have one in my college dorm room. I got him from walmart and he looks exactly like yours minus the gill. he ight have a parasite or something maybe hes just sagging becvause hes old maybe it sjust time for him to die
