I have a 10 gallon aquarium (At least, I think it's 10 gallon. It could be 15. We bought it from a yard sale, and there's no label of any kind to tell what the gallons are) and I need some new fishies for it. I use to have many fish in it (Flame Tetra, Zebra Danios, Giant Danio, etc.) but the 2 of the zebra danios were assasinated by the Giant Danio, 1 of the zebra danios was injured in the store by the employee who took it out of the tank, and 1 zebra danio grew some white fungus in giant clumps (tall and wide) on his head and body, then died. The flame tetra had a bent back when I got it. It died 2 days after . My giant danio was a big bully, constantly chasing my fish, killing (as mentioned before) 2 zebra danios, a blue three-spot gourami, and quite possibly my salt & pepper platy. He was put into a sperate, smaller tank , jumped, scraped his back on the lid, and died a few days later with a big bloody wound on his back and his scales floating everywhere.
So, my fish history aside, heres what I have in my tank:

So ...... what do you reccomend for me? I've pretty much ruled out loaches and chiclids, so what else? No danios, please. I seem to have bad luck with them:/I do like tetras, though , and have good luck with them. I had a serpae tetra about 8 or 9 years ago, when I was 5, that lived around 5 years. Nothing to expensive, please.
I know everyone else has said the same thing, but I really would get more serpaes. They can be nippy when not kept in a large enough group, so I'd get at least six. Whilst it is possible they would school with the other tetras they would prefer their own kind. Alternatively, you could sell the serpae and get six neons OR cardinals. Have a look at glowlight tetras too - my personal favourite. Under good lighting they look AMAZING.
I love all fishies:) but it may be a good idea to rehome the guppy. A tank of on small school of tetras and the blue gourami will be quite crowded. I love blue gouramis and I'm glad to hear you aren't just cheaping out, because she is going to need a bigger tank. I hope you find one soon!

As for glo-fish - beware, they are a type of danio!: P
add 3 more serpae tetras. NO MORE THAN THAT! Most tetras do not actnormall without being in a group.that 'ss why your other fish probably died! they are apart of the same family. your tank is too small for more fish that i recommend.
it sounds like you need some peaceful fish. How about some ottocinclus and maybe a few cory cats? Your options are slightly limited by tank size. Another good option is two or 3 pea puffers.
If you change your mind on the price plan, go for shell dwelling cichlids. You could put 3 or 4 in a tank that size and they would be very entertaining.
The tank is too small for the gourami, and the tetras need to be in groups of at least 3. I would take out and rehome the gourami, then either rehome the guppy and get a few more serpae tetras, or rehome the serpae tetra and get a few female guppies.
