Goldfishhhh helpppp!?

So I bought two goldfish today! Well .. i won them at the fair!

I know that they are probably not the healthiest ... but I want to know what I need for them.

I have them in a bowl right now but I am going to get them a tank tomorrow!

What tank - food/decorations/etc. Would you reccomend??

Thank you:)
Those fish are a comet or common goldfish and get 18 + inches long and need 75 + gallons each. I highly suggest you give them to someone with a pond.

Supplies needed

Tank: Biggest you can buy now. You will need a 150 gallon tank for the two of them.

Filter: Double filtration

Bucket

Gravel vacuum.

Water tests for ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates

Optional

Gravel

Decor
For feeder goldfish, probably the kind you have, i would recommend a five gallon tank, with gravel, a few plastic plants or decorations. Get some regular goldfish flakes or tropical fish food flakes. Water conditioner would be advised. Make sure you have a filter, and a light would be good too. You should also consider getting a bottom feeder such as a catfish, or plecostomus, maybe even a couple guppies.
Goldfish can't be in bowls. They are NOTHING BUT DEATH TRAPS. Goldfish pass a lot of waste and can pollute the water with toxic levels of ammonia in no time. They also can not get oxygen in a bowl and usually gasp at the surface for air. Please get them out asap pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

2 Goldfish 1-2 "each need a 10 gallon at LEAST, and 25% water changes every week to keep toxic levels of ammonia down. They also HAVE to have a Air pump and bubble stone set up to help oxygenate the water. Right now I don't see how 2 Goldfish could make it through the night in a bowl. It would take 6-8 hours to suck the oxygen out of the water. Also in a 1 gallon they would need a 50% water change every day to keep TOXIC levels of ammonia down. That would only put them in shock.

Carnivals/Fairs usually have Comet and Common Goldfish.

Comet: Grows 10-14 "and need 90 gallons for 2

Common: Grows 14-18 "and need 150 gallons for 2

Without proper gallons they will most likely poison themselves from ammonia levels or you will stunt their growth. When a fish doesn't have enough room to grow, they slow down in growing or stop growing while the inside organs and intestines continue growing. They die 1/2 way through their potential lifespan (20 + years) from a slow painful death. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Please get them in AT LEAST 5 GALLONS TONIGHT although 10 would be better. Do you have a plastic storage tub maybe? They might be ok through the night if you try setting up a oxygen source and do a 25% water change in the morning. I suggest starting in a 20 gallons. When they reach 4 "They should go in a 30 gallon.

I truly recommend that you make a 300 + gallon pond for them in Spring and put them outside. They do best in Ponds where they thrive and eat bugs on the pond surface.
It depends on the size of the fish. I would recomend a 10 gallon tank with filter and heater [all the works] if you go to a feeders supply they will guide you through all the steps. remember goldfish let off alot of amonioa so you wouldnt want to put other fish with them other than a sucker fish to clean the tank. goldfish like plants to swim through but they dont like a jungle. and goldfish also like their foods to change up a little once in a while. i hope i helped you (: ps get anomonia controller too (:
