He was the very first fish that i got so i very sad if he died! He's constantly on the top and then he swims down for a few minutes and then he's back on top like if he was eating the bubbles on top. I recently changed the water and i have an air bubbler plus a filter. my other goldfish are not doing that he's the only one acting like that ... what could be happening? he seems to be happy at all times. what can i do? please help me i don't want my Naranjis to die: (
fish swim on the TOP to get OXYGEN cuz u dont have fine enough small bubbles going through the tank, the bigger the bubbles from ur bubblers the less the tank gets Oxygen ( white tiny bubbles going around in the tank they look like particles but its just air).
he could also be Tired/Stressed from poor water conditions, they find places to rest when they are stressed, he could be infected by ICK that makes him stressed and go to where the air is, prob close to ur filter or the moving water.
ya he is eating the bubbles cuz he is Sick, and needs the air, ICK makes it hard to breath so they suck air bubbles. Change 20% of ur water daily for 1 week, make sure to add a tiny bit of Bacteria so u dont f up ur Cycle and use enough water conditioner, it could be from to much Nitrate/Ammonia/ICK all poor water conditions cause stress, and its clean water that fixes it all.
He might just be hungry. Goldfish never know when they aren't hungry, so they are constantly looking around for food.

He could also be trying to eat algae or something on the top, even if its not visible.
He should be fine as long as he seems to be doing okay, but I can't be completely sure. I can only speak from the experience of my goldfish ...
Either he is sick, or is in the process of dying. Normally fish do that if the water is dirty and they take in oxygen from the bubbles. Do you fill the thank with tap water? If so, you might want to get some chlorine remover drops. I hope this helps, I'm really sorry if something happens to your fish, I would be devastated if my goldfish died. Good luck.
that may be his version of saying im hungry! if not he probably loves the bubble blower
