its a largemouth bass and about 2 inches long and i just put him in my tank. what can i feed him?
I hope that keeping natives/gamefish is legal in your state, it isn't in several.
Carnivore pellets, pesticide free worms and insects. You'll probably have to roll the pellets in the juice from some freshly squeezed/crushed garlic. It acts as an attractant and appetite enhancer. A lot of pellets contain it already, but until your fish actually recognizes pellets as food, it will probably need the boost of fresh garlic. Once he's eating pellets without hesitation, you can stop adding the garlic, he knows that it's food.
I hope you have a big tank, he'll eventually need well over 100 gallons. (One adult bluegill needs a 90)
