cause people say that that 2 gallon is toooooooo small i hate it when they say it is it ture tell me the tured if it i can buy it new tank
As long as it is properly heated and you manage to keep the temperature stable in that size tank, then 2 gallons is fine. THe problem is that 2 gallons is very hard to heat and filter, and the 5 gallon tanks used to be the minimum on being able to keep a stable and proper environment. The new small heaters seem to work well, so the 2 gallon has become more manageable and it is possible to keep a happy health betta in one if you set it up properly.
The truth is that a 5-gallon tank would be much better for your Betta. It will give the fish more room, it can safely be heated, and it will be less work for you in the end. This will keep your fish healthier, and help him live a longer life.
A 2-gallon tank is a bit small. It will require more water changes, it can't safely be heated, and the fish will only have a minimal amount of space. Extra water changes and an unheated habitat can lead to illnesses and early death.
Why should a fish have to live in a small space, because he; sa betta? In Thailand, in their natural habitats, they can have huge territories, much much bigger than 3 gallons tanks.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com When you buy an animal, you are responsible for it. You wouldn't keep a dog in a cage 24/7 would you? I hope not. A betta has just as much right to have space to swim and be healthy. 5 gallons should be the MINIMUM, although bigger is better with a filter and heater.
Bettas Rock (n 'Roll)
A 2 gallon is too small for a single betta. It can't be safely heated and it doesn't give much space. You can keep a betta in there but it is risky and not recommended. Try to get at least a 2.5 gallon. It should not be too expensive and your betta will live a long, happy life.
It is kinda small but not too bad a 5g tank would be much better because it offers more space for it to swim and its taller and also has more space for decoration but if you can't afford a 5g tank then you can keep it in a 2g tank but its not the best.
Most avid fish enthusiasts will agree that it is too small, but in reality your fish can lead a happy and healthy life if you keep up on the maintenance of the tank and give him things to keep life interesting.
I work at a pet store, and that is PLENTY of room for your betta. A betta fish only needs 3/4-1 gallon of water to be healthy and survive. I hope I helped.
my betta (now) hardly has one gallon! the past 5 have lived perfectly happy lives ... until they needed to be flushed to the great fishey beyond ...
I have my beta in a two gallon too. But I heard they need at leat a five gallon. (My beta seems happy now soo)
it is plenty room for a betta
