I have 2 female platy's and 1 male platy. I was just wondering if there is any identification of pregnancy. I also know they're livebreares and i was wondereing when to put the platy in the box

when your platy becomes big and you may be able to see her gravid spot (a black spot near her stomach) and she will become stressed out because the other fish in the tank will begin to chase her. Put her in a breeding box at this point for 2-3 days if nothing happens put her back in the tank also she will have a few at a time so if you see a white tip near her tail it indicates some fry have been born=o)

When the fish gets big. It may also get agrassave and destressed. Just look for it chasing other fish or running up and down the glass.
When the female starts to get REALLY big and you can see eyes in her gravid spot then put her in the breeder box
