I have mollies, platies, gouramis, and goupies. I would prefer fish that will not exceed 5 inches when fully grown and do not school. Are there any pretty ones that are not aggressive and are compatible with my fish? Thanks!
It's merely impossible to tell. What size aquarium do you have? How many fish do you have of each species? How do you care for the tank?
Please provide this info, then i can answer properly!
Thanks for the info. Um, your tank is really too small.
Mollies need a 20 gallon aquarium, platys need a 15 gallon aquarium, and so do guppies. Depending on the gourami, you need a 15 gallon tank or larger.
I would suggest getting a bigger tank, or getting rid of a few. Good luck!
You have many livebearers in your tank other than the gouramies. If you want to go with more livebearer types there are the swordtails.Do not put more than 1 male in there though or they will fight. Why not a small schooling type of fish? there are some pretty schoolers that stay tiny and pretty and will not be aggressive toward your other fish such as neons, white clouds, serpae tetras and glowlights.Avoid tiger barbs, danios and black skirt tetras.
female bettas would be good, but it is possible they might be aggressive, cories and otos are both good choices. i think the leopard cories are gourgeous. i have a tank similar to yours (2 gups, 3 platies, 1 molly, and a cory) and i also have ghost shrimp in it. they are really cool to watch. you could try bamboo shrimp instead if you want bigger shrimp.
semi agressive are fine in Packs of 5 or more, they mainly look for friends.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com get some Neon Tetr'as or Blood Fin Tetra's they are chill schooling fish, and fun to look at.
You are over stocked as it is
