Questions on pet triops.?

Hey guys. I started some triops today, and I was wondering how you could tell if an adult triop laid eggs. So I can separate them, so they won't eat the babies and I have to go and buy another kit. Thanks in advance.
I did a quick research and couldn't find an answer to your specific question. However, this is what I would do (I'm a biology nut and am always raising strange things to learn about them) Look at the kit and read all directions. Find some more containers, easy to clean and observe-maybe plastic or glass bowls? Set these up just like the original kit. Watch carefully. The adults will perhaps be seen breeding, laying eggs, etc. Move the adults to a new container and watch for hatch-lings in the other. You will not be able to save all offspring but probably oodles of babies will be in the older container. Continue to move adults around to keep them away from babies until the young have reached a size that adults won't eat them, only then can you combine them.

Good luck. Now you have me interested in triops! Maybe I will do some too. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
