Ive just bought about 4 hours ago, 5 guppys
I though i was told not to feed them for 24hr.
but there chasing every little leaf that moves cause they look hungry
should i feed them

Feed them a tiny sprinkle then tommorow start the feeding routine.

Yes you can go ahead and feed them! I always do right away whenever I get new fish and their fine! Nobody has ever told me not to feed them right away! Thats weird!

Fish will ALWAYS convince you they are hungry, even if they have just ate. They will be fine without food for 24 hours. They likely ate right before you bought them:)
No, they'll not die in four hours. You're better off following the instructions of people that know about them.:)
