My grandmother kept her angelfish in a 10 gallon tank or something. It was so small. I went to the store and bought I think a 24 gallon one and two new angelfish. First they all got a long. The big one was more like a mama. Then the big one started nipping at the not ones not full grown. The big one eventually nipped at the yellow one and took it's skin off. It bled a little bit. Then everything was fine. At one point I gave the big one a time out. Then the big one would try to rule over the other two. Yesterday the yellow one was absolute best friends with the big one. They followed each other and flirted. The yellow one would attack the camo one. The camo one makes no attacks so far what so ever. Just a little bit ago camo and yellow were along side of each other like best friends. Then the big one would try to attack camo. Yellow made a bunny to try to avert big one's attention and tried to block him from attacking camo. Yellow went and nipped at camo. The big one went at camo as yellow kept head up and down really quick .. Yellow one is shaking it's head back in forth terrified. Yellow is trying to show camo who is boss but is up to defend camo. What the hell is going on with my fishes? I do want to get more. I wonder what kind.

edit .. 50 gallons it could be you have all males more males than females it could be they are breeding its difficult with out actually being able to see the tank i have multiple pairs in my tank and don't have territory or aggression problems
That tank is a little on the small side for 3 angel fish, one may be territorial.
