I just put together my 29 gallon freshwater tank and it has been 2 days now and all the sudden it got cloudy. I know that its because the nitrogen cycle and the bacteria eating ammonia and stuff. But how long will it last? Should i treat it with some ammonia treatment? Also i am planning on putting fish in it today, can i still do that or is that a bad idea?
I would wait 2-4 weeks until you are done cycling. It isn't a good idea to put in fish when the water isn't ready. I know its hard to be patient but it just isn't worth dieing fish.
