Can I put my betta in a bathtub?

Just for a little while my friends and I would like to put my betta fish in the bath tub. With just water in it of course. Is this a good idea?

I didn't have any of the cleansing drops that you put in fish's tanks last time i cleaned his tank and I used just plain tap water and he's still alive and swimming in it, so it's not like it kills them.
No , it's not a good idea, there could be cleaning product residue (you don't see) left in the tub. This could kill your fish. Beside no cleansing drop could also kill him as there could be high levels of chlorine in the water , take him out, just cuz he is not dieing now there could be long term effects.
No, it's not a good idea. Putting him in the tub will stress him out alot, it could possibly kill him. Also, any traces of soap or shampoo could kill him. Finally, the water isn't treated. I know you think that he is fine with out "cleaning drops" but it could be the death of your fish. I very strongly recommend going out and getting a product like Tetra Aqua Safe, which is only about $ 5. It could literally save your betta. I hope you have him in at least a 3 gallon tank with a filter and heater. If you don't, please get one. Check out this site for very good information, and please be a responsible fish owner.

Your stupid ...... Just because your fish is still swimming doesn't mean tap water is good for them.

Tap water includes many vitamins and minerals added to promote HUMAN health .... THings like fluoride and chlorine are exactly good for fish, and because fish don't talk it's only when your fish is VERY sick that it shows signs and then dies. .....

So go ahead .... it's not like it will kill him .... But it will stress the CRAP out of him which will eventually lead to his ultimate death.
Make sure the Temperature is the same in the bathtub as in the tank water. He should be fine. My brother took a bath with his betta once. Thing's still alive, 6 months later. Just ........ Try to squeeze the last little bit of the drops out into your bath tub. Without it, your betta's life could be in jeopardy as the water can contain Chlorine in a high dose. Very bad for your fishy.
Wow .. Um, I would suggest buying a feeder goldfish to do that .. I wouldn't kill ANOTHER betta of the millions that die each year. And, PLEASE dont use tap water .... buy the drops, of course, buy them only if you WANT your betta to live.
You can put them in a swimming pool if the water is heated.
It's better not to put betta in the bathtub. Just put it in a different bowl.
no, there are trace chemicals that stick to the side of the tub no matter how well you clean it
it would be extra clean
Why? Wanna take a bath with your fish, & & yur friend? sounds kinda gay if you ask me ...
