it has a filter and is not heated, but has been maintaining a temp of 81 degrees.
also in it: gravel, plants, castle, rocks, aquarium salt.
my betta was in a one gallon filtered and heated tank but did not seem happy.
once he was in the ten gallon he immediately took over the castle.
if it's not safe to keep him there i will remove him immediately.
thanks for all replies and advice.
I've heard that bettas can be aggresive to guppies, but I think it should be fine. As long as you have a group of guppies and not just one small one, the betta won ' t bother them. As for the ghost shrimp, I've housed them with bettas for a long time without a problem until my most recent betta came along. It really depends on the individual betta. Some are just more of bully fish then others, I would say it should be fine jsut monitor the betta for aggression for the first few days to be safe!
Good luck!
Bettas shouldnt really go with guppies as it may attack the latter. You should also use your heater from your one gallon tank just to be safe. Your decorations are fine as long as it is not sharp and rough. Also , do not put too much salt
Should be no problem with Betta fish, but will be a problem to other fish. Betta should be separate, here in my place we call it "Fighting Fish "...
Betta might eat your guppies or shrimp so I don't think it's an good idea to do that.
to small of a tank for all the fish and shrimp.
Ur betta was happy alone and if u put him with other fish he might have then for a midnight snack
