How do you make brackish water?

I am setting up a tank for figure 8 puffers and Bumble Bee Gobys. I want to know how you make brackish water. Like how much salt do you mix with water to get the right gravity
get a hydrometer. The amount of salt should be between a freshwater and a saltwater
You should use a hydrometer to be sure you have the right amount of salt. Brackish is when you have a reading between 1.005 to 1.015. You can add 1 Tablespoon of salt per gallon as a start, then check it and add more as needed. The higher the number, the more salt there is. And this needs to be marine salt, not just aquarium salt. Both of the fish you mention should be at the lower end of the range . If you're buying them locally, ask at the store where you'll be getting them what salinity they have them in, then set up your tank to be the same. But if they tell you what the fish are in, they ' ll almost certainly tell you as * 1.0-something * because they'll measure theirs with a hydrometer.
Most brackish water fishes can tolerate the range from 1.000 to 1.025. Hence there no specific density. Adding marine salt and measure with proper instrument if you really want to know the density.
