I am looking for a place to buy an opaque divider. Or easy how to directions.
I bought a Penn plex 10 gallon and trimmed it to fit. It didn't work as desired, since it was clear. My boys were not happy to see each other, lol. I tried covering one side with background and painstakingly poked holes in it to match the divider. It worked great to blind them, but it doesn't pass heat and water through well enough. Plus, it collects tons of algae.
Could you help me find something different? Thanks!
OK, you have a few options. One is that usually within a few days the boys will begin ignoring each other or will only occasionally flare so you can stick with what you have.
The other is to go to the craft store and buy some of that plastic stuff they use for crocheting. It some in various sizes and colors. You can use the divider stuff you have and cut it to fit or get those plastic report cover spines and use those as the edging for the dividers (the part the buts up against the glass.)
how about you just buy another tank. or just stick to 1 fish. ive never seen a clear divider. try another pet store or specialty fish store. you should be able to get a divider thats like milky white, all the ones ive seen are because of the exact problem your having, the point of the divider is to seperate the fish so a clear one is unusual. you can order one from big als if you have to, you could trim it to fit.
