i have a 55gal tank with 2 Oscars and a pleco and Ive had this tank since 4 months almost and at one point in time i had a water problem but i fixed it and my tank was clear for the most part now its cloudy again if u look at the head on it looks clear for the most part but u can see the cloudiness now if u look at it from the side its bad i tested it also with these strips (MARDEL 5 in 1 test strips) it test for nitrate, nitrite , hardness, alkalinity, and pH.and every thing came back normal but its cloudy how do i get my tank to have crystal water and stay that way oh and i do water changes.
This may be the result of a bacterial bloom that happens in a drastically altered tank. Sometimes this happens when you do too much at one time (like over cleaning). This situation will correct itself when a sufficient amount of bacteria establishes on your biological filter.
You can help keep your fish from getting stressed by performing 25% water changes daily and feeding them less until the nitrogen cycle has caught up again.
You have 2 oscars and a plec in 55 gallons that is why you have cloudy water your over stocked A single oscar needs 75 gallons as a minimum
