can i put any of these 3 fish with my cichlids?

can i put a rainbow shark, red tailed shark, or a bala shark in a tank of african cichlids and one american cichlid? it would be slightly larger then all the cichlids so would this work?? please help!!!
I would not recommend the Bala due to their size and needs. The Rainbows or Red Tail may be alright. African Cichlids, in my experience, can be rather territorial, so if and when you decide to add the sharks, try to add at least three at a time, this will confuse the aggressors in the tank defending their territory.
I hope it is an african river cichlid you have in with the american cichlid otherwise you are not properly keeping your fish as one is in completely different pH that what is required. (Jewel cichlids are african river cichlids and like the lower pH than their lake relatives and can be housed with some american cichlids for example, but a Lake Tanganika Cichlid and a Discus have two completely opposite pH requirements) It is important to know the tank setup to determine if the fish you want are suited to it. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Also, WHAT cichlids? Some can barely be housed with anything else, even their own species, others are very calm and social. What size tank? It makes a big difference.
Both Red Tail and Rainbow sharks grow 6 "and do fine with almost all cichlids. You can however have only 1, they will fight if kept together. So just get one of either. Bala Sharks grow 12 "+ and need 5 + in a school. Bad idea for anything less than 300 gallons. ..
What sort of african Cichlids do you have? there are 1000s of species
