So i decided to put my 2 baby mollies into my 20 gallon out of their breeder trap. The other fish just ignore them, so i dont have to worry about them being eaten
They naturally grow a lot faster at this age in the first place, but they will have more available food as well and should grow faster due to that, plus the extra exercise will help them gain needed muscles.
Many people use breeder traps. I personally do not as they are just a bunch of hassle, but you did nothing wrong!
Yeah, a lot faster. A little breeder trap has already done damage if they are over 2 weeks though. A breeder trap is not a home. You are better off allowing the parents to eat them at birth. A 3 "by 4" box is cruelty. Now that they are in proper gallons (for babies) they will grow drastically now. Mollies should be in a group of 3, and 3 Mollies should be in 30 gallons. Maybe 4 can fit in 30 gallons but no more as it will continue to stunt their growth ...
i had 30 molly fry, and although some do get eaten, you should let them out of the breeding trap. the will start growing very quickly, especially if you give them specially formulated food for fry.
feed them crushed up frozen type green peas. a little at a time. they will grow real fast!
yes they will grow faster in bigger spaces.
Nature has to take it's course ... they will grow when the time comes.
