I really like black moscows, but they cost a heap and I want to breed guppies. If no can you give me any other ideas?
Black Moscow's are beautiful! They can certainly breed with other guppies but there's no guarantee that the fry will be pure black. Just try to get 2 or 3 females and 1 male in the black moscow and they should produce beautiful black fry every time. It would be a very good investment if you can find the right market for them.

A?? Answer for a vet med major and livebearer enthusiast. It creates accidentally the impression that a male black Moscow can mate with any female guppy and produce black fry. It is easy for someone who badly wants that to be so, to misread this answer and make a very bad investment.

When you cross two strains of guppies, you back up, undoing years of work that brought each strain to its current point. By the time you recapitulated all that work and with luck recovered something that looked like a black Moscow, others would have moved on and produced a strain beyond what the present black Moscow strain is capable of.
Tell you what. I have some great Moscow guppies. I will bring a few pairs or a couple trios of them to the tropical fish auction this Sunday in Tallmadge Ohio. I will also bring one "hit" female for the auction. This is all you need. she has already been made pregnant by some of the best males and will stay pregnant for about six months. By that time you will have some nice females and nice males and you can pick the best one to re-hit this original female. Inbreeding is how the fancy guppy strains are established and maintained. People will not be aware that all they need is this one hit female to start breeding black Moscows, so you should be able to bid on it for the cheap. There is a three letter seller code on the auction items, so when you see or hear it, I think you will know right away that it's mine.

Like another said all guppies will breed with all other breeds of guppies, you can try red tuxedo, fire guppies, turquoise guppy, there are all sorts of different types of cool guppies try looking up double sword tail guppies they are my favorite. there is also bottom sword guppies and top sword tail guppies.
yeah they can breed with other strains of guppies. all guppies can breed with each other, colors don ' t matter as long as they are the same species.
Guppies are very profilic. They breed with any other type of guppies.
