New fish owner ... help?

Hey everyone! So yesterday I just got two goldfish. A black moor fantail and a gold fantail. I love them! Anyways, I do not think that there is enough water in there so I would like to add some more. If I sit the water out for 1-2 hours, making it room temperature, will this work? If not, is there another way? Thanks!

* Ive only owned betta fish before so yeah lol
When adding water to your aquarium, be sure that it is the same temperature as the fish's current water, and that it is treated with a water conditioner that removes both chlorine and chloramines before it is added.

Also, please be aware that your 2 fish should be in nothing under 30 gallons, 40 + would be better, complete with filtration rated for double that. These fish grow big, and they need the space to do so.

Here's a good profile site for Fancy Goldfish:

Finally, if you have not yet learned about the nitrogen cycle, you'll want to do that ASAP.

goldfish prefer cold water so if you are getting water from the tap check that the water is cool to the touch but not cold and not warm then just fill up a container with the faucet and add it to the tank until the water reaches the black trim around the top if you have a bowl get rid of it and get a tank ... even though it says goldfish bowl they are not made for goldfish. goldfish need an aerated tank and filtered water for them to live happy health lives
I believe they are cold water fish so no need to make the water warm
