My young cold water goldfish seemed fine for ages. He lived with three other fish and they don't attack each other, the water was cleaned out the day before, and they all seemed fine! but I got home from school one day and he was dead. the others were swimming around and were perfectly normal. The dead fish, (Goldie,) had lived in that tank for a year without any additions to his home. It's all very strange so please answer as soon as possible! They do get fed regularly but not too much of course. Please help!

But i would say you might of had somthing on your hand that transffered intot he tank or maybe if you were cleaning it out and adding new water . the water might of been to cold and might of shocked him/her or even you might of touched her/him or knocked her/him

Could the water have been a little warmer than usual? That's the only thing I could really think of stressing the goldfish more than the other fish.

How big is the tank, and what are the other tank mates? Goldfish kept in small tanks can live for some time but eventually die due to stunting.

well he could have gone into shock from the change also how big is the tank/bowl is its a bowl that alone killed him

maybe it died of old age? & how big is ur tank? or bowl? sometimes they get stressed out by having no privacy space.
