Okay, I have my cute little Betta in my 1.5 gal. right now and I noticed that he had little white spots on his head so I researched that up and I noticed that it was ick.I went to Wal-mart and got him this jungle ick guard stuff and thats been going on since last week. Hes a crowntail and his fins like go up and down like aw, and i got him this fin rot medicine and hes been in that for about a few days.My problem is that I dont know if it was the right thing to do and how do I prevent it. (PS When I get enough money I plan to put him in a 5 gallon)

If he does not seem to be getting better than i would say have wal-mart give ua healthier betta. I have had bought Betta's from wal-mart be for and never in that good of shape. I have ended up with Betta's carrying illnesses because they are not a fully specialized pet store. next time I recommend going to petco because they have always had healthy er fish. also the reason fish can get illnesses is sometimes from stress during shipping from over seas. hope this helped, from one fish owner to another good luck !!!
