How many goldfish can I keep in my tank? (Details below)?
It's length is 41 inches; width is 30 inches and height is 32 inches. Meaning the total volume is 39360inchesSQUARED.

I am not sure how many gallons or so but I am talking about regular goldfish (I have 4 adult ones and 4 baby ones at the moment!)

Thanks xx

This tank is 170 US Gallons. I would not keep more than 6 Common Goldfish in this tank, the fewer the better. Also cycle the tank before adding in any goldfish.

I would also advise you rethink your stock and consider keeping fancy goldfish instead, because you could place many fancies in a tank that size (up to 15). Commons are best kept in pond set ups. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Well your tank is an odd shape, but works out at 170gal, so it's certainly suitable for large goldfish.

When you say "adult", you do mean 12 "or so length? That's how big regular goldfish can grow, sometimes even more. In that case, 8 goldfish is plenty, even for that size tank.

As they aren't all fully grown your tank isn't crowded right now, leave it that way and let them grow big and they should live long healthy lives. Cram more in, they will grow until the tank starts getting too crowded and then you will have trouble maintaining the water quality and keeping the fish healthy.

Common goldfish get two feet long. With eight of them you are a bit overstocked as it is when they are all grown.
