snail problem in tank?

Snail problem in tank?
I have a 63 litre tank with tetras, a betta, 4 dwarf algea eaters, and with 2 zebra snails. I keep having problems with 'baby' snails. I have used treatment all ready (but removed the 2 zebra snails out) it has worked a bit but they are still there. Got any suggestions on what if i could put in there or another treatment which actually works?

Don't worry about betta and tetras compatibility. Bettas do well with most tetras. Just keep an eye on them because some types of tetras tend to nip at long fins (a male betta has). If everything is running fine no worries. The snail problem, emm ... just put a slice of cucumber or lettuce before turning the lights off and next morning remove it. Almost all of the snails will be attached to it. Repeat until no snail is to be seen. Do not use chemicals they don't work most of the times and they are harmful to your fish. Clown loaches are famous snail eaters but will kill those snails violently sucking them out of their shells (I don't really like to see them being killed like that), borrow one loach if you can but do remove your zebra snails before doing so. Also, snail problems are signs of overfeeding. Try not to overfeed. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

PS Separate your zebra snails.

Good luck

I dont know about the snail problem but your betta should not be in a tank with those other fish. The tetras have bright colors and he may be aggressive and stress out always worrying about his territory ... if it is a female betta she should be ok I have read that females can live in peace with other peaceful fish but not males. Look into getting a small tank just for your betta! Good luck with snail issue!
