I live in orange county and I've been trying to find these guys for a while if anyone knows where to buy them that would be great, also I have not seen them in stock anywhere online.

I live in Santa Fe Spring CA and I have seen an Assellus Puffer in a fish store called Tongs Tropical Fish it's in Whittier.

Got one from a Petland / Aquarium Adventure..

Carful what you read about them being the "nice puffers"... That just means that they like to school and are not aggressive towards other puffers, mostly because they do not guard their fry(babys)...

However... If you have other species of lesser or similar size, they will eventually lose a fin, a tail, a bottom lip (poor platy) and eventually everything else.

I saw them housed at an aquarium (Shedd Aquarium) with a bunch of Pictus Cats and they did OK with those.

I have 3 Pictus, 1 featherfin, platy, 2 gourami, 3 rosetail sharks (denison barbs) and had the SAP... the baby SAP ended up chasing after the barbs and the platy even though they were bigger than him...
