55 gallon aquarium setup/stocking?
Right now all I have is a 10 gallon freshwater tank. For christmas I am going to get a new 55 freshwater tank. I am going to have sand substrate and decorated with lots of fake plants, rocks, and driftwood. It will have 2 filters, both will be Penguin 350B Biowheel filters. In my 10 gallon right now I have.... 1 dwarf gourami, 1 guppy, 2 platies, 2 zebra danio, and 3 julii cory. I know that is very bad stocking, but I knew very little when I setup the tank. I am trying to decide what to do with the fish already in the 10g. I want to move them to my 55 gallon but am not sure about the dwarf gourami. I am putting 2 angelfish and 1 golden gourami in the 55 gallon. I would love to put the dwarf gourami in the 55 gallon but am afraid he will fight with the golden. He has never showed any aggression at all, but I hear golden gouramis are aggressive. If not, I will leave him in the 10g with some neon tetras, and move everyone else to the 55. What are your suggestions? THANKS!!!
Before adding fish I would cycle your tank.

Hmmm... Add some more guppies, platies, cories, and danios so they can school. ( a school is about 4-6). Don't add any more gouramis because they will fight. Kuhli loaches would be a good choice although they need to be in schools also. You can add a school of smaller tetras (neons, cardinals, lemons), they are very beautiful. There are some peaceful cichlids you can add also, try rams, kribs, or keyhole cichlids, but if you add any of those make sure you have a lot of hiding places. That is all I can think of at the moment so if think of anything else I'll add it to my post.

EDIT
Rosy barbs would also work and they need to be in schools also.
