How can I help my fish with stress?
I'm cycling my tank with platies. How can I reduce the stress i'm causing them? Thanks.

answer:
easiest way would be to test the water, and do small water changes every day (no more than 10-15% i would say), also if you want you could add some chemical called Stress Zyme to help them.

i always find it easier to do cycles without fish, as it requires less water changes and less worrying about hurting fish but that's just my view.

best of luck
Daily testing of the water and daily small partial water changes to dilute the ammonia and keep it bearable for the Platys.

As for the previous poster, it's outlooks like that that kill thousands of fish every year. Shocking disregard for animal welfare.
I think this was answered yesterday :) Keep the lights out , and partial water changes of 10%
Don't have people walking around the tank all the time, turn down the lights (not completely off so that they can't tell when's day, when's night, but so they don't feel exposed), add a little aquarium salt, make sure the temperature is stable. :)

Hope I helped!
They're fish in a bowl, dear.

Are you really worrying about their stress?
