They usually don't do this but they constantly meow and try to claw me whenever I pet them. It's like an annoyed meow and I'm not annoying them whatsoever. Their attitudes are usually really sweet and caring. Bad cat day or what?
It might be a bad cat day-but if it keeps going on see if there is some sort of injury where you're petting them. Something like a bruise or a rash or a scratch might be causing them pain. Depending on how old they are they might have just changed personality a little bit. I had a cat that was so sweet as a kitten then once she got older she suddenly didn't like to be pet on her stomach anymore.
But if it continues and you are still worried take them to a vet-there might be something going on internally. Always check with the vet if you're worried. Bette safe than sorry!

It sounds like they just want to be left alone. But if it persists, maybe take them in to be checked out by a vet. You want to make sure they are healthy and not tender, or feeling any pain when you are petting them.
well there are many cats that have cyst i even have one my cat does the same thang and if the cat keeps doing that than u can go and get it cut out and most of the time that is what it is
If theyre growling at you, then you're bothering them. Cats are very temperamental, if they dont like something, the will let you know.
