Does anyone know where I can buy an 18 "D x 12" H x 12 "

Moving from Hawaii back to California in a couple of months, and we'd rather take The Fuzzy One as a carry-on instead of storing him under the plane where he can escape, disable the avionics, and reroute us to Egypt. Anything that was at least 17 x 11.5 x 11 would also work, I think. Called the airline, and the first set of dimensions is the max that will fit underneath the seat in front of us, where we are required to keep him. Thanks for the help!
Sturdi Products makes some good carriers The large size is just exactly those dimensions.

The small size one is.18 "L x 10" W x 10 " http://www.amazon.com/SturdiBag-Pet-Carr ...

and the height on those is flexible in case you later use it on one of the airplanes that has even shorter seats. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Sleepypod Air makes a nice one that "compresses from 22-inch long, 10-1/2-inch wide, 10-1/2-inch high down to 16-inch long, 10-1/2-inch wide, 8 -inch high ".... well at least the length can compress if you fold up the end. But to get it to do that, you will need to get it ahead of time and keep folding the end up to" break it in ".. If you get it brand new the day before the flight you might have trouble.

& I think you could get by with the Teafco Argo carrier (18.5 "x 10.5" x 8.5 ") it would stick out half an inch and in my experience they do not make a fuss for that. When I got it it said it was accepted by all airlines. It is handy, it has different rings to hook the straps to so you can carry it either with the wide side or narrow side being horizontal - that makes it easier than some to carry through crowded airports . It's got a nice L shaped padding that makes it padded on the bottom whichever way you carry it. and i like the double mesh windows made so that the pet can see out but others can't see in (so you avoid people freaking them out by sticking their faces up to the windows & squealing "HI KITTY!")
