For the past 3 days, my female cat has just not been herself. She's very lethargic, however she did go catch a mouse. She isn't eating much, but she does eat some. I suspect this is due to the bump under her chin. (neck/jawline) It still has fur on it, you cant really see it you can only feel it, and it is sore to the touch. Since she is an outside cat, we do not plan on taking her to a vet . She is our only pet. Please help !!!!!
coulda gotten into a fight with something or could be a tumor. Try to see if you can see a wound. If so, try to keep it clean with hydrogen peroxide. If there is no wound, then I would take her to a vet to see what the bump is in case it's cancer or something.
Sounds like a poisonous spider bite. What does the fact that it's an outside cat have to do with taking it to the vet or not? Since you don't plan on taking it, you may wanna start digging the grave now if it was a spider ...
The vet really should look at this since it's preventing her from eating AND making her feel ill. Get her in a carrier and get her in.
