i have 2 kittens and most of the time they use the litter boxes. But sometimes they go under my couch. Is there something i can put under there that they wont like?
Cats hate citrus smells like lemons and oranges, so try buying a citrus based spray that you can spray under your couch. The spray will dry and the scent will stay. You could also consider placing mothballs under the couch as well. Ouch!! One whiff and they'll scatter! Trust me, the kittens will not want anything to do with getting under that couch. You can buy the spray or make your own:
Cats are one of America's most beloved pets, but as a territorial species, they occasionally fall from favor when marking areas that are not technically theirs. Cats stake out their turf by depositing pheromones, rubbing things with their face or scratching with their claws. An even more serious claim to ownership is made with a spray of urine or a deposit of feces. Cat repellent is one way of keeping the felines off of your furniture, and can be easily and inexpensively made at home.

Measure two cups of water into a small saucepan. Add one cup of citrus peels. Choose from orange, lemon, grapefruit, lime or any combination that you find pleasing.
Step 2
Place the pan over high heat and bring the water to a boil. Reduce the heat and allow the mixture to simmer for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Remove the pan from the heat and set it aside to cool. Once the contents have reached room temperature, pour the solution through a coffee filter to remove all of the solid pieces of peel.
Step 4
Add two tbsp. Of citrus scented liquid soap and two tbsp. Of lemon juice to the water and stir until well blended.
Step 5
Transfer the mixture to a plastic bottle with a spray attachment. Spray any furniture you'd like the cat to stay away from with a liberal coating of the repellent.
Keep them out of their until they learn to use the litter box correctly . I have a cat that has no litter box (there's a small stream behind my back yard). She has never pooped inside the house. I had a kitten that I had to give away after it peed on everyone's bed in one week. You might need to keep them outside if they keep doing this.
Yep, sticky tape. Make big loops of shipping tape, sticky-side out, and cover the area around the edges of your couch. They don't like to get things stuck to their paws, so they'll probably steer clear.
you can put plastic bag or a resistant fabric so it wont stain
just block off all sides of the couch
