I have a kitty that I've raised since birth and I've been wanting to get a tattoo of his paw print. Of course to take it in the tattoo shop I need to get it on paper. What's the safest way to do that ? I'm afraid to have him walk through paint or something so what other NON toxic things can I use. Something that won't hurt him if I miss some while cleaning him off and he licks it ...?
Use a non-toxic tempera paint - like the ones kids use in grade school. It cleans up with water. Do a few prints of his paw then wash it off - simple.
Your cat's paw print probably looks just like any other cat's. So another option is to just print a cat paw print graphic you found on the web.
I do hope you're over 18? Tattooing anyone under that age is illegal.
You can use water based paint like the kind they use in kindergarten class at school. It is non-toxic if ingested, the worse thing that may happen is he will get and upset tummy. Just use a sponge brush or a paint brush and paint his feet one at a time, and place him on the paper. Should work very well. May take a practice one or two, but you should get a very good print.
Rubber stamp ink pad. Open it, lay it on the table. Lift up the cat, set the cat's front feet on the pad (or one foot on the pad), lift the cat and set the cat on paper and hold him in place a moment.

It's soy ink, non-toxic.
Use rice paper.
Dip his precious paw in water.
Then press it on the paper.
You'll have your paw print.
Take a picture of it with your phone.
Take the photo to the tat place.
Boom! Beautiful.
I hope this helps.
I wish you well.
You can make use water-based paint, they are less toxic and you can just wash them immediately.
