what to do with this stray kitty in my neighborhood?

ok so there's this tiny black cat in my neighborhood i asked everyone around no one owns her so i put some food and water on the side of my neighbors house (the side that we share) and shes been eating it but when i go out to catch her she runs in till i cant see her anymore so im guessing shes old enough where she left her mom i think shes at least a month old shes pretty young but i read about how to catch stray kittens but i don't have a trap and i think im going to put her for adoption unless i fall in love with her which i pretty much already did. but there's two big adult cats one grey and one orange and the orange one attacked the kitten earlier and i scared me so i went around with a piece of ham to sorta attract the kitten and i couldn't find her later she came but the food i couldn't tell if shes hurt or not but im still scared any help with what to do? PLEASE HELP!!! !!!!
Attempt to feed it so that it you can gain its trust. Your best bet would be getting a trap.
Get a net and trap the cat or get one of those small animal trap boxes, that is really the only to get the kitten. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

If she came for the food she may well be alright. It sounds like you care and love the kitten so definitely keep it. You can also call animal control and they may help you catch it as well.
For a few day u will have to make a trail to u and u will get it but do not touch it at first wait till he is set next to ui foster feral kittens and that how i get some
The only thing you can do with cats is slowly gain their trust.

Try moving the food closer and closer to your house, then eventually just inside the door etc. Talk to her softly each day as you feed her. She will get used to your voice/smell and will let you stroke her more and more.

Any sudden movenment to try and catch her, before she knows you will not work. Cats are canny and independent, but they can and will grow to trust and love humans.

I have six cats, or should I say they have me?
